Nowhere in the world would you find a fly fisher who is not looking for another edge’

The ‘edge’ may be a variation of an old fly, a new fly, a different type of presentation or retrieve.

Whilst fly fishing for trout does depend on the contents of one’s fly box, which in some cases only contain a half a dozen or so patterns through to others have a complete tackle shop in their arsenal, we are always ready to take a look in others fly boxes and maybes accept and try a new pattern.  Many of us always eager to try a new tactic or two.

Australia’s Best Trout Flies Revisited takes a look back over the past twenty through the eyes of some of Australia’s best anglers many of whom have represented Australia in the sport of fly fishing at the highest level by competing in World, Commonwealth and Oceania fly fishing events.

So it is through the pages of this book that they have passed on some of the ‘edges’, not only to the modern flies and their dressing but to other tips and tactics which have given them the ‘edge’

As has been said a couple of times in this narrative this is not a a silver bullet book but maybe there is a fly pattern and or tactic within these pages that will appeal to some and make the next outing more productive.
